Espresso Cup Shelves.
Task: Build a shelve to display coffee cups
Construction: 6'x8"x1' Pine Board
I decided to build an artistic shelve for my fathers cup collection. To save wood some of the shelves are the exact opposite of another one thus I only required one board to make two shelves. My dad liked it so much he wants me to build another one.
Cube Sat Trajectory Project.
Class: Computational Methods (MCEN 3030)
Assignment : Determine the initial velocity and projection angle subject to a cube-sat such that it returns to earth at a location exactly below its takeoff on a spaceship 100 Km above the surface. Taking into account the different atmospheric conditions that affect drag.
Relevant Skills: Underlying algorithms that adapt to different multi-variable equations. (I found this project fascinating as the code iterated for 10 minutes to reach a desired solution).
Boat: S/Y Argo
Distance Traveled: 4021 nautical miles
During the summer of 2014 I had the opportunity to crew a training schooner. Over 35 days I gained invaluable experiences. I learned many topics ranging from diesel mechanics to celestial navigation. My favorite day was when we hit 13.4 knots (15 mph) of the Portuguese coast on a broad reach.
